These grants are available for a wide variety of projects and activities, such as research and development, innovation, energy transition, environmental protection and biodiversity, digitalisation, and resilience to natural disasters.

• Intended for projects and activities that contribute to the Fund's objectives.
• Available to companies, scientific institutions, and other organisations who wish to carry out projects that contribute to the Fund's objectives.
• They are awarded through various funding programmes and calls for proposals, and can be aimed at projects of different sizes and scopes.
• They are usually granted in the form of subsidies, i.e. as non-repayable financial aid, although they may also include low-interest loans or capital investments.
• They may include specific requirements in order to access them, such as the presentation of a research project or the demonstration of the technical and economic viability of the project.
• They are usually subject to refund or return conditions in the event of non-compliance of the objectives or conditions established.
